Dining LA HIGUERA: Innovative, yet timeless menu items that best reflect the resort´s unique location. La Higuera treats guests to the fine offerings of the coastal states and regions of Mexico, highlighting the area´s fresh vegetables and seafood, the basis of traditional Mexican cuisine. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at La Higuera are modified each day to reflect the freshest meats and produce available.
La Higuera is situated adjacent to the resort´s inviting infinity pool and features al fresco dining beneath the canopy of a mature fig tree, after which the restaurant is named. In the evenings, lanterns hung from the tree´s branches gently illuminate the tables below as the moon dances on the Pacific. An unobstructed 180-degree ocean view makes breakfast, lunch or dinner a refreshing experience.
La Higuera is open daily for breakfast, lunch or dinner from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
THE BAR AT LA HIGUERA: Enjoy a captivating sunset at the intimate bar at La Higuera. Open for lunch and dinner, the bar sits quietly beside the resort´s infinity pool and beneath a large palapa roof, providing an ideal setting for a pre-dinner cocktail or post-dinner nightcap.
HOLE 9: Located at the midway point of the spectacular El Tamarindo Golf Course is Hole 9, a unique eatery perched high on a hill overlooking the greens and waters below. If you are enjoying a round of golf, the restaurant is an ideal place to refuel for the remainder of the course, and for guests who are not golfing, the restaurant is a great place to enjoy a unique afternoon meal.
Hole 9 serves a simple menu of chips and salsa, ceviche, grilled arrachera sandwiches (very tender beef, signature of Mexico), fish and chicken sandwiches for mid-day dining in addition to offering a full bar. Aside for the year-round splendor of the restaurant, it is also an ideal place to spot migrating whales in January and February.
THE WINE CELLAR: Enjoy an intimate dining experience in the cool recesses of the wine cellar.
